August 23, 2019 — Governor Christopher Sununu has issued a state proclamation recognizing September 23-27, 2019 as New Hampshire Clean Energy Week.
In his proclamation, Gov. Sununu notes that “clean energy is an important part of New Hampshire’s energy future” and that the clean energy sector has been a “driver of economic growth” for the state in recent years.
New Hampshire is now the fourth state in the country to formally recognize National Clean Energy Week 2019. Recently, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey and Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed proclamations supporting NCEW in their home states.

The State of New Hampshire
By His Excellency
Christopher T. Sununu, Governor
In the year of our Lord Two Thousand and Nineteen
NEW HAMPSHIRE CLEAN ENERGY WEEK
SEPTEMBER 23-27, 2019
Whereas, across New Hampshire clean and readily abundant forms of energy are powering more homes and businesses than ever before, and the State of New Hampshire has taken proactive steps to ensure the continued growth of renewable sources of energy, access to distributed generation power sources, and to increase the use of energy efficient technologies; and
Whereas, clean energy is an important part of New Hampshire’s energy future as it includes generation from renewable sources such as wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal sources, and also includes nuclear, natural gas, and carbon capture technologies, as well as energy storage; and
Whereas, the clean energy sector is a growing part of the economy and has been a driver of economic growth in New Hampshire in recent years; and
Whereas, these are jobs cannot be outsourced due to the on-site nature of construction, installation, and maintenance, and clean energy jobs are inherently local and contribute to the growth of local economies; and
Whereas, we must harness the power of New Hampshire’s entrepreneurs and small businesses and ensure government collaboration to assert American energy leadership and dominance in the global marketplace, and assure low-cost reliable energy here at home;
Now, Therefore, I, Christopher T. Sununu, Governor of the State of New Hampshire, do hereby proclaim September 23-27, 2019 as New Hampshire Clean Energy Week in the State of New Hampshire, and call this to the attention of all citizens.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the State of New Hampshire to be affixed this 16th day of August, 2019.
Christopher T. Sununu,
