U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski to Deliver Remarks at Policy Makers Symposium

Chairman of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Joins Group of High-Profile Speakers

September 5, 2019 — National Clean Energy Week (NCEW) today announced that U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), chairman of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, will deliver opening remarks at the Policy Makers Symposium, a centerpiece of the week’s events.

Murkowski joins an already bipartisan group of congressional speakers, several of whom also chair key energy and climate change committees, for the Policy Makers Symposium, which takes place on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET at the National Press Club. Additional speakers include U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), and U.S. Representatives Garret Graves (R-LA), Scott Peters (D-CA), Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Paul Tonko (D-NY).

A widely-respected legislator on energy and public lands issues, U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski has served as chairman of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee since the beginning of the 114th Congress. Additionally, Murkowksi is the chairman of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Interior and Environment Subcommittee.
