As CEO, Cliff leads the Avantus team to advance one of the country’s largest solar and energy storage portfolios. He brings more than 15 years of executive leadership in clean energy development, with a track record of building, maturing and executing renewable portfolios from the ground up. Throughout his career, Graham has gained significant expertise through his hands-on approach to every step of project development, from early-stage land acquisition and permitting to power marketing, late-stage financing, construction and more. Previously, Cliff served as the Chief Development Officer at 174 Power Global. He also led EDF’s U.S. development efforts, managing a 150-person team focused on solar, wind, storage, offshore wind, green hydrogen and transmission. While at NextEra Energy, he led greenfield wind development, growing NextEra’s clean energy pipeline in the western U.S. three-fold, and eventually helped take NextEra Partners public on the New York Stock Exchange. Cliff started his career in the military, serving 10 years as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, rising to the rank of Major. Cliff holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and an MBA from Touro University.
