Filip was appointed as President for LNG Market Development in Jun 2024 based in Houston, Texas. He is responsible for developing and monitoring ExxonMobil’s global LNG strategy and portfolio with objectives to grow LNG portfolio and find synergies with EM Low Carbon Solutions to support global emissions reduction efforts. Recently, Filip held various roles in ExxonMobil’s Corporate Strategic Planning Group. Initially as the Energy Advisor, he was responsible for assessing economic and energy demand trends, and related technology developments and public policy issues. Later on, as the Manager of the Industry Outlook, his activities moved to building ExxonMobil’s view on global oil and gas supply, and insights on market balance. He is a key contributor to the ExxonMobil’s Global Outlook. Filip joined ExxonMobil in 2001 and has held various positions both in upstream and downstream, in commercial, financial and strategy roles with having worked in Belgium, Netherlands, UK and US. Filip holds a degree in electrical and mechanical engineering (2001) at Ghent University and obtained an MBA from Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School (2011).
