Joel Yu is the Senior Vice President of Policy & External Affairs for Enchanted Rock, where he plays a central role in shaping the strategic direction of the nation’s leading resiliency microgrid developer. He is responsible for translating complex policy initiatives into commercial success, leading the company’s advocacy on grid modernization, reliability, and the expansion of distributed energy resources at both state and federal levels. Prior to joining Enchanted Rock in 2020, Joel dedicated over ten years to ConEdison, gaining deep operational and regulatory expertise. He began by managing underground network construction and operations before advancing to the Energy Policy & Regulatory Affairs team. There, he influenced critical industry dialogues on wholesale market design, transmission planning, interconnection, and cybersecurity policy. Joel earned his MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
