Kristina Woolston has served as Chief Executive Officer of Old Harbor Native Corporation since January 1, 2025. Kristina was previously SVP of Old Harbor Native Corporation. Prior to that, Kristin led external affairs for Donlin Gold, a world class, high-grade pure gold development project partnership with Alaska Native Indigenous landowners Calista Corporation and The Kuskokwim Corporation. Prior to Donlin Gold, Kristina was the Vice President External Affairs for Quintillion, the company that built and now operates the first subsea fiber optic cable in the North American Arctic. For more than ten years, Kristina served as the Vice President Government Relations for Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Village Corporation with significant global operations, figuring prominently in the diverse government services contracting marketplace. Kristina was a Senior Fellow with Rasmuson Foundation, leading their effort to bring reliable, affordable, and accessible broadband to all Alaskans. Kristina was raised in Naknek where she grew up commercial fishing, and subsistence hunting and gathering. She and is a shareholder of Bristol Bay Native Corporation and Paug-Vik Ltd village corporation and a Tribal member of Naknek Native Village Council. Among her many recognitions, Kristina has been named Top 40 Under 40 nationally for American Indian leaders, and Top 40 Under 40 in Alaska. She presently serves on the Special Olympics Alaska board of directors, and previously chaired the Native American Contractors Association. Kristina and her husband Tim live in Anchorage and have four children (Savannah 30, Shelby 27, Noah 20, Charlotte 18). Kristina & Tim grew their advertising agency Northwest Strategies into Alaska’s largest firm, which they sold in 2015, and co-owned a local pizza favorite, Fat Ptarmigan, until it closed in 2023 following pandemic challenges. With their children, they own Polar Espresso, a seasonal coffee kiosk in the Anchorage Railroad Depot. Kristina is an avid mountain biker and can regularly be found in a full-face helmet, racing downhill in Anchorage, Sedona or Phoenix. Kristina earned a bachelor’s degree in Government and Native American Studies from Dartmouth College.
