Liz Bowman leads state and federal government affairs and outreach at Williams, a Fortune 500 infrastructure company with operations spanning the natural gas value chain, including gathering, processing, interstate transmission, storage, and wholesale marketing and trading of natural gas and NGLs. Williams also partners with hyperscalers and large-load industrial customers to deliver reliable, lower-carbon, co-located and behind-the-meter power, at scale.
Bowman has over 20 years of experience in advocacy and public affairs, in both the public and private sectors, helping high-level principals, organizations, and coalitions develop and implement successful advocacy campaigns to meet policy, regulatory, and legislative goals.
Bowman’s focus is on energy, environmental and regulatory issues — joining Williams from the American Exploration and Production Council, the leading trade association for America’s independent oil and natural
gas producers.
Notably, Bowman served in the first Trump Administration as the associate administrator for public affairs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and in the U.S. Senate, as communications director for Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA).
