Celebrate NCEW in your community: HOST A CLEAN ENERGY WEEK EVENT!

ICYMI: Federal and Local Leaders Celebrate National Clean Energy Week in Washington Times Special Edition

WASHINGTON – In celebration of National Clean Energy Week (NCEW), the Washington Times published a special print and online edition featuring commentary recognizing the importance of the United States’ clean energy leadership and the impact clean energy technology makes in local communities.

The special edition includes pieces from former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Senators Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) and Chris Coons (D-Del.), Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa) and John Curtis (R-Utah), CRES President Heather Reams, and other bipartisan lawmakers, mayors, and clean energy industry leaders from across the country.

“Now in its seventh year, National Clean Energy Week is a chance to highlight bipartisan collaboration and the progress made toward a cleaner energy future,” wrote Heather Reams, chair of NCEW and president of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Forum, in her opinion piece for the Washington Times special. “In a demonstration of bipartisanship, NCEW is proud that dozens of Republican and Democratic governors have recognized Clean Energy Week in their states and that bipartisan resolutions noting the week have been introduced in both the U.S. House of Representatives and in the U.S. Senate.”

NCEW was founded in 2017 as a bipartisan forum to bring together clean energy leaders and advocates across America. The week contains engaging programming such as the Policymakers Symposium – a three-day event convening elected officials, business leaders, advocates, policymakers, investors, and trade associations from all perspectives who are dedicated to advancing clean energy.

If you missed any of the 2023 Policymakers Symposium, free video recordings from all the live keynote addresses and panel discussions are available on-demand on NCEW’s YouTube channel.
