“As we kick off this year’s National Clean Energy Week, it’s incredibly encouraging to see such strong, bipartisan support from ten additional U.S. Governors,” said Heather Reams, chair of NCEW and President and CEO of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Forum. “Proclamations from Governors Ayotte, Braun, Dunleavy, Healey, Hobbs, Lombardo, Moore, Polis, Shapiro and Stitt reflect a shared commitment to the transformative benefits of affordable, available and reliable clean energy. From job creation to business opportunities, it’s clear red and blue states alike recognize the value clean energy brings to local communities. This momentum should inspire confidence among policymakers here in Washington and signal to the marketplace that all-of-the-above energy has broad and growing support.”

“We must harness the power of New Hampshire’s entrepreneurs and small businesses and ensure government collaboration to assert American energy leadership and dominance in the global marketplace and assure low-coast reliable energy here at home,” Governor Ayotte (R-N.H) stated in the proclamation.

“The clean energy sector is a growing part of the economy and has been a key driver of economic growth in Indiana in recent years, with over 82,395 clean energy jobs in the Hoosier state,” Governor Braun (R-Ind.) stated in the proclamation.

“Energy security is national security and Alaska is home to 51 of the 54 critical minerals identified by the United States Department of the Interior,” Governor Dunleavy (R-Alaska) stated in the proclamation.

“Reducing our carbon emissions is essential to the health of our state, residents, and planet, and to protecting property, communities and infrastructure from extreme weather events,” Governor Healey (D-Mass.) stated in the proclamation.

“The state’s solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal resources are tremendous and it benefits industry and families to continue to invest in such cost-saving resources,” Governor Hobbs (D-Ariz.) stated in the proclamation.

“Nevada’s energy sector is strong thanks to abundant renewable energy resources, modern infrastructure, and incentives that attract energy developers from around the world,” Governor Lombardo (R-Nev.) stated in the proclamation.

“The state supports the development of a strong in-state clean energy sector, which provides over 80,000 jobs to Marylanders, to further diversify our economy,” Governor Moore (D-Md.) stated in the proclamation.

“The clean energy sector is a growing part of the economy and has been a key driver of economic growth in Colorado in recent years, with over 68,814 clean energy jobs in Colorado,” Governor Polis (D-Colo.) stated in the proclamation.

“A cleaner, more resilient, and diverse clean energy grid benefits our state by protecting public health and ensuring low-cost, reliable energy,” Governor Shapiro (D-Pa.) stated in the proclamation.

“In 2022, wind supplied about 93% of Oklahoma’s renewable electricity net generation, surpassing natural gas for the first time, and the state ranked third in the nation in total electricity net generation from wind,” Governor Stitt (R-Okla.) stated in the proclamation.

Launched in 2017, National Clean Energy Week continues to serve as a bipartisan platform for advancing clean energy solutions. This year’s events will feature our flagship Policymakers Symposium, a free, two-day event in Washington, D.C. and streamed online, featuring elected officials, industry experts and advocates working together to build a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
