| WASHINGTON – With the 10th Annual National Clean Energy Week (NCEW) less than one month away, the leaders of Alaska, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Washington, D.C. and Wisconsin are the first to issue proclamations recognizing September 14-18, 2026, as Clean Energy Week. These proclamations were made by Govs. Mike Dunleavy (R-Alaska), Tate Reeves (R-Miss.), Kevin Stitt (R-Okla.), Tony Evers (D-Wis.) and Mayor Muriel Bowser (D-D.C.).
“As we mark ten years of celebrating National Clean Energy Week, I’m grateful to Governors Dunleavy, Reeves, Stitt, Evers and Mayor Bowser for recognizing this momentous occasion,” said James Dozier, Chair of NCEW and founding president and board chair of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Forum. “With growing electricity demand, paired with the expansion of AI, data centers and advanced manufacturing, America needs more energy than ever. These proclamations underscore the bipartisan nationwide support to advance all forms of reliable and efficient energy to meet growing demand.”
In 2025, 30 states officially recognized Clean Energy Week. The first proclamations for 2026 demonstrate the growing commitment among leaders across the political spectrum to support a clean energy sector that creates jobs and affordable power for millions of Americans. Launched in 2017, National Clean Energy Week continues to serve as a bipartisan platform for advancing clean energy solutions.
