RECORD BREAKING: Thirty-Six States, Commonwealths, Districts Recognize Clean Energy Week 2022

October 3, 2022—In recognition of the sixth annual National Clean Energy Week (NCEW), a recording breaking thirty-six governors, and the mayor of Washington, D.C., issued proclamations celebrating September 26-30, 2022, as Clean Energy Week.

“We are overjoyed by the widespread, bipartisan support that Clean Energy Week garnered this year,” said Heather Reams, chair of NCEW and president of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES). “In its sixth year, National Clean Energy Week 2022 was certainly one for the record books. We thank all who participated in NCEW 2022, and we look forward to celebrating in 2023!”

NCEW began in 2017 as a bipartisan forum to bring together clean energy leaders and advocates across America. Through engaging programming such as the Policy Makers Symposium, the weeklong virtual event celebrates the critical role that clean energy plays in reducing greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously bolstering the nation’s economy and energy independence.

If you missed any of the Policy Makers Symposium, free video recordings will be available soon on-demand on the virtual portal from all the live keynote addresses and panel discussions. Stay tuned for more information about NCEW 2023—which will take place September 25-29—at https://nationalcleanenergyweek.org, including sponsorship opportunities, remote and in-person events, and registration for next year’s Policy Makers Symposium.
